Hi! I’m Laura Roberts, and I’m a San Diego-based freelance business, food and travel writer. Since 2007, I’ve worked for lots of amazing companies, writing everything from articles and interviews to reviews and profiles of hotels, points of interest and cities around the world.
My work has been featured on sites like Expedia, MapQuest, Not For Tourists and Travel + Leisure. I’ve also contributed to popular writing sites like Freelance Switch, Funds For Writers and Writers Weekly.
In addition, I’ve also written custom content for businesses such as the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, Hips & Curves Lingerie and the Yellow Pages.

What sets me apart?
- I’ve got a Creative Writing & English Literature degree, because I love to tell great stories.
- I’ve lived in many different cities in the U.S. and Canada, so I’ve got lots of connections – as well as insider knowledge.
- I learned everything I needed to know about life from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off: “Life moves pretty fast; if you don’t stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
